Stealth startup
Challenge
A pre-seed stage startup came to us with a CTO, a back-end, and a REST API already built. What they needed was a client-side team to consume that API and ship a product — fast. We embedded as a fractional tech lead plus one full time senior engineer, working directly alongside their existing technical leadership.
Process
Establishing the Workflow
With the back-end and REST API already in place, we jumped straight into scoping the front-end. Working with the client in Linear, we broke down the product into engineering tickets, proposed and implemented the technical infrastructure, and shipped a working MVP in under 3 months.
- Worked back-and-forth with the client on process, pull request review rules, and AI-assisted development to make sure we were in alignment

Building the Client
We built the full client application on top of the existing REST API — handling state management, UI, and integration layer. Working in tight feedback loops with the back-end team.

Shipping and Iterating
As the engagement matured, our scope grew. What started as a front-end build gradually expanded into back-end ownership — picking up Python, contributing to the API, and taking on more of the full-stack surface over time.
